Beginner

In your position set!

Our past experiences and knowledge
Are just baggage
The wind keeps on blowing
And doesn’t leave anything behind afterwards

Search for a new road!
Don’t open someone else’s map!
When you look up from the ground you’ll be back at square one

Are we dreaming?
Do we believe in the future?
With no fears, with no regard to our limits
Throwing caution to the wind
Are we dreaming now?
As newly as kids
Let’s pull off the chains that control us
Change your mind
Change your mind
You don’t need to know anything, beginner!

Adults have failed and embarrassed themselves
And gotten hurt and traumatised
And become wise
Saying they never want to feel that way again

Challenges are stupid
What are you protecting by avoiding risk
And making silly calculations?

Are we living?
Do we want to live tomorrow?
We pretend to smile, pretend to understand
We haven’t dreamed for a while
Yeah, are we living?
Are we wasting our lives?
Feel the blood pulsing through your veins now!

Stand up! Together!
Remember the day you were born!
Everyone’s a beginner!
Stand up! Right away!
It won’t go easily
Right from the start
Stand up! Together!
Just go back to the beginning
One more time, beginner!
Stand up! Right away!
Open the book again, open the book again
It’ll be fine
Tear out the old pages
Come on, get started!
We can be reborn all the time

Are we dreaming?
Do we believe in the future?
With no fears, with no regard to our limits
Throwing caution to the wind
Are we dreaming now?
As newly as kids
Let’s pull off the chains that control us

We can’t do anything
We can’t do it right
So what?
We’re young
We can’t do anything
We can’t do it right away
And that’s why we have possibilities

The rain has stopped
The wind has stopped
And a light we’ve never seen
Is shining
Now’s the time

You’ve been reborn, beginner!
